Boom Dock privacy policy

Last updated · 2026-10-18

This policy covers the mobile game Boom Dock: Firework Sort on iOS and Android. ACEFINA LLC ("we") publishes the game. Questions go to hello@acefina.com.

The short version

  • The game shows ads from Google AdMob. Google receives some device and ad data to do that.
  • We collect anonymous game stats through App Central, our own analytics service. You can switch them off in Settings, which also deletes them.
  • If you enter a birth year under 13, or skip the question, we collect no stats at all and ads are child-directed.
  • There are no accounts. The game does not read your contacts, location, camera or microphone, and you can't post anything in it.
  • Apple or Google handles every payment. The game never sees your card details.
  • We don't sell your personal information.

What stays on your device

The game keeps your level progress, your settings and a local log of game events in its own storage on your phone. The log file is never uploaded. The birth year you enter on the first screen also stays on the phone, and the game never sends it anywhere. Deleting the game removes all of this. On Android, the game opts out of Google backup, so this data never goes there. On iPhone, your phone's own iCloud backup may include it if you have one turned on.

Ads from Google AdMob

Ads come from Google AdMob, through the Google Mobile Ads SDK. To show and measure ads, Google receives:

  • your IP address, from which it estimates a rough location;
  • your device model and operating system;
  • which ads you saw and tapped;
  • diagnostic data about how the ads loaded;
  • your advertising ID: the Google advertising ID on Android, and on iOS the IDFA, but only if you allow tracking when the game asks.

Google uses this data under its own policies. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Consent

Where the law requires it, including the EEA, the UK and some US states, the game shows Google's consent form (its User Messaging Platform), where you choose how Google may use your data for ads. You can change your answer later from Settings, under "Ad privacy choices". That option appears in Settings wherever the form applies.

Tracking on iPhone

Players aged 13 or over on iOS are asked once, after clearing 3 levels, whether the game may track them (Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt). If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", AdMob does not receive the IDFA.

How often ads appear

The first 10 levels have no full-screen ads. After that you see at most one every 3 minutes, and none once you buy Remove Ads. Rewarded ads only play when you choose to watch one, for example for an extra slot.

Our anonymous game stats

For players 13 and over, the game sends anonymous stats to App Central, Acefina's own analytics service, which runs on Cloudflare. We use them to tune the levels and find errors. App Central receives:

  • a random install ID created by the game. It is never an advertising ID or Apple's IDFV, and reinstalling the game creates a new one;
  • the platform, the store the game came from, the game's version and build, your OS version, your device model and the game's language;
  • your country, worked out from the connection. Your IP address is not stored;
  • gameplay events: when you start, win or lose a level, how long it took, your best chain and how many extra slots you used;
  • your answer, if you pick one, in the short survey shown after a run of lost levels;
  • when a purchase screen opens or closes, and whether the purchase went through;
  • whether an ad was shown, finished or failed to load;
  • your answer to the iPhone tracking prompt;
  • the type of any app error.

App Central receives no name, email, advertising ID, birth year or payment details. It is not combined with data from other companies or other apps.

Purchases

The game sells Remove Ads for $4.99, a one-time purchase, and +1 slot for $0.99, which adds one slot to the level you are playing. Apple or Google takes the payment through the App Store or Google Play. We never receive your card or payment details.

Children and the age screen

Boom Dock is made for a general audience. On first launch, before any ad is requested, the game shows a neutral screen asking for your birth year. The year stays on your phone.

If you enter an age under 13, or don't give a year:

  • every ad request is marked as child-directed, so Google does not personalise the ads and limits them to content rated G;
  • the ad consent form and the iPhone tracking prompt are not shown;
  • App Central receives nothing at all: no install ID and no events. Any install ID left from an earlier launch is forgotten and its data is deleted from our server;
  • a parent check, a short maths question, comes up before any purchase.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent with a question can email hello@acefina.com.

How long data is kept

  • On your phone: progress, settings and the local log stay until you delete the game.
  • App Central: raw events are deleted after 90 days, and an install's record after 13 months without activity. Daily totals with no install ID in them are kept.
  • Switching Anonymous stats off deletes that install's data straight away.
  • Google keeps ad data under its own retention rules.

Your choices

  • Anonymous stats: in the game, open Settings and tap "Anonymous stats: On" to turn it off. This deletes the stats already sent from your phone. Turning it back on starts a new install ID that can't be linked to the old one.
  • Ad privacy choices: in Settings, where your region requires it, to change your Google consent answer.
  • iPhone tracking: change it at any time in your iPhone's Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Tracking.
  • Android advertising ID: you can reset or delete it in your phone's settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, or to object to how it is used. App Central data is not tied to a name or email, so we can't find it from an email request. The Anonymous stats switch deletes it directly. For anything else, write to us.

Who receives data

  • Google, for AdMob ads and the consent form, as described above;
  • Cloudflare, which hosts App Central and processes its data for us;
  • Apple and Google, for payments made through their stores.

We also disclose data where the law requires it.
